Menurut Emi Rumhastuti, selain karena faktor ekonomi, perceraian juga dipicu oleh oleh perselisihan terus menerus dan Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT).
“KDRT masuk kategori ekonomi, bukan hanya main tangan tetapi lebih ke tidak memberi nafkah sehingga menimbulkan kekerasan batin,” ujarnya, saat ditemui di kantor PA Jalan Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo No. 45, Selasa (23/7/2019).
Pada semester pertama tahun 2019, perceraian karena faktor ekonomi mencapai 459 kasus.
Kemudian perselisihan terus menerus sebanyak 237 kasus dan KDRT menyumbang 154 kasus.
“Setengah tahun ini tidak ada yang cerai karena poligami,” kata Emi.
Pada periode yang sama tahun lalu, faktor ekonomi menduduki peringkat pertama dengan 350 kasus.
Disusul perselisihan terus menerus mencapai 332 kasus dan meninggalkan satu pihak 97 kasus.
Kasus perceraian, lanjut Emi, masih didominasi usia produktif rata-rata 22 tahun hingga 39 tahun.
Nah, di usia tersebut bisa dikatakan rentan belum matang menjalin mahligai rumah tangga.
“Rata-rata menjalin hubungan rumah tangga hanya enam sampai lima tahun, lalu memutuskan untuk berpisah,” tuturnya.
Ada pula yang usia rumah tangganya hanya seumur jagung kemudian bercerai.
“Kalau itu rata-rata cerai cepat karena hamil duluan, suami istri tidak kumpul, bahkan tidak mengakui anaknya,” tegas Emi Rumhastuti.
